While living like a local in Bologna Italy I spent a lot of my time eating. After all, Emilia Romagna is the epicentre of Italian food in Italy. This is where bolognese tagliatelle, balsamic vinegar, parmesan, and even gelato originated from. The cheesiest place on earth also happens to be the sweetest. Bologna is home to Gelato University where artisan ice cream makers whip up creamy-textured, real Italian gelato. Luckily thought I would try my hand at how to make Italian gelato and even lend a hand in the gelato-making lab. Check out the highlights from my day at the sweetest place on the earth.

A very nice video! Thanks for sharing! I really love the fact that their Gelato in Bologna doesn’t have a cream ( Indeed a healthy treat). I love that their ice cream is always from fresh seasonal fruits (Never frozen) and then the sweetness level will be carefully measured like everything is balanced to come up with a very delicious gelato. Such an informative post.

You had me at GELATO! 🙂 Thanks for sharing. Sadly, we don’t have schools like this in our country.
